Interviewees across the world found that leveraging this platform helped improve student educational outcomes, save teachers time, lower hardware costs, reduce IT management, and enhance the security of their hardware environments.

My son goes to a very cost-conscious school and they started using Chromebooks a while ago. I cannot talk from the budget point of view of the school, but as a parent I see how the learing efficiency has improved since: homeworks, tasks, parent-teacher communication.
